But Chapel Hill had to fight for the victory. The Warriors started off with an 11-4 lead, and Webb maintained a narrow 12-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers took the lead with about three minutes left to play in the first half, and Vanhook was a large contributing factor.

Chapel Hill took the 32-23 halftime lead, with the help of Vanhook's seven second quarter points and nine first half points. He kept the momentum going throughout the second half, eventually accumulating 17 total points.
With about five minutes to play in the game, the Warriors had cut the lead to just seven, and to just two with just more than two minutes to play.

But numerous free throws by Chapel Hill's Denzel Ingram, along with a rebound by Vanhook, ultimately sealed the deal for the Tigers.
Friday’s game was especially noteworthy because it was the first time this season Hicks took the court against Chapel Hill High School. Late last month, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association cleared Hicks to play for the Warriors after he transferred to J.F. Webb.
He’s ranked among the top 15 players nationally, and he’s already committed to play for the Tar Heels in 2013.
Hicks was expected to be a key contributor in Friday’s game, but he showcased an underwhelming performance, with a relatively quiet 19 points. By contrast, Head Tiger Coach Tod Morgan says Vanhook stole the show.
The Tigers now remain undefeated at 22-0.
