At Top of the Hill, the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service honored 14 Chapel Hill and Carrboro restaurants for their long-term commitment to RSVVP, a hunger relief fundraising program. On RSVVP Day—which is held on the second Tuesday of November each year—participating restaurants donate 10%of their total sales to the IFC for use in its FoodFirst programs (Community Kitchen and Food Pantry).  The 23rd annual RSVVP Day will be Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

 

The restaurants honored were:

 

10 years of participation: Caffe Driade, Domino’s Pizza – Carrboro, La Hacienda and Mama Dip’s Country Kitchen; 15 years of participation: 35 Chinese, Café Parvaneh, Captain John’s Dockside Fish & Crab House, and Top of the Hill; 20 years of participation: Elmo’s Diner, Flying Burrito, Hunam Chinese, Subway – Glenwood Square, Subway – Timberlyne, Ye Olde Waffle Shoppe.
